Fantasia - Even Angels Live (by classact07)
I love this performance. It really showed another side of her voice. Fantasia does grunt/growl a lot, but she also has a nice soft voice too, & she can control is a great deal when she wants too.
Plus this comment is truth:
Love this song too btw
YASSS!! And that comment is everything. I really despise today’s music industry.
Ciara - Sorry (by CiaraVEVO)
Loved it. I was upset I missed the initial premiere on 106th & Park because of a group meeting that I had to do for my class, but I’m glad there’s a VEVO. It feels great to know that Ciara is getting the support she so rightfully deserves. Ciara can do it all, sing, dance, write, producer, & I’m glad to see the displayed in the mainstream media. I will be purchasing the single on the 25th, & I’m excited for One Woman Army. Support good music.
Yes! I like. Go CiCi :)
Lauryn Hill - Doo-Wop (That Thing) (by laurynhillvevo)
Drake sit the fuck DOWN! Successfully shitted on your whole career in 1 song. Successfully singing & rapping? & talking about REAL SHIT, besides your groupie/relationship problems. & she could REALLY SING, LIVE & STUDIO.
Kendrick Lamar - The Recipe (Lyric Video) ft. Dr. Dre (by KendrickLamarVEVO)
I was gonna make this song of the day for tomorrow (Well not really because before I thought about making it that, I had already had a song in mind), but I couldn’t wait. This song, KNOCKS, SLAYS, MURKS, whatever, all of it. Kendrick has NEVER FAILED ME! One thing I love about him is he’s so suttle. Like he raps & he’s literally killing 95% of rappers out their if not all, but it’s so calm. Like his musical sound is so consciously connected, with such intricate metaphors. Plus, his style is like a smooth hip hop, r&b, & kinda a alternative twist (to me at times), but once again, very suttle. Get into Kendrick & his 1st official single.
ALL OF THIS!!
On another note I notice that a lot of talented hip hop artists are emerging or finally getting noticed (or both). I guess people are finally getting tired of the Kreayshawn’s and 2Chainz’s. Even though people like them are still dominating the radio, it’s nice to see people with true talent getting signed and having good producers and businessmen/women backing them up. Now all we need to do next is get them major air play on radios.
